With years of experience working in the studio and on the road you are in good hands with our Senior Engineer and Producer Marcel (he/him). If you want more than recording and mixing, Marcel will gladly come on-board as a producer to help strengthen & tailor your compositions, mixes, performances, as well as assist with the other stages of music production.
After training at the Nimbus School of Recording & Media, Marcel went on to be an Engineer, Guitar Tech and Stage Manager for Randy Bachman (2012-present). He also helped co-produce The Hunter and the Potter's record "Innocent Guns”, and was Producer & Recording Engineer on the Ashton Bachman Band's record "DISC."
Marcel is concurrently the guitarist/vocalist/founding-member of the cinematic-rock band Batten Down, and also teaches vocal coaching and guitar.

Bennie (they/them) is the Studio Manager and Assistant Engineer at Sanctuary Studio. They are also an excellent electric and upright bassist, capable in all genres, and is available for session work.
Bennie has a Certificate in Music Foundations from the Victoria Conservancy of Music. In 2014 they won the “Norene Bradshaw and Trevor Dawson Memorial Music Award” for having received the highest recommendation score given to a first-year student by their audition committee.
Outside of working at the studio, Bennie is also the bassist in Batten Down alongside Marcel Rouger. They were also the bass player for all of Good Company Entertainment Group’s community musicals, including the most recent performances, Dogs in the Moonlight (2023) and Venus Conundrum (2024).
